WordPress http://wordpress.org/ is one of the most popular content management systems available, if not THE most popular. It’s free to install on your hosted site, reasonably easy to customize, and has many free and commercial themes available.
There are many MANY plugins for WordPress that you can add to do different things. Some make WordPress easier to use or manage; some add in capabilities that it doesn’t have right out of the box. There is a huge support community if you need help.
You can create a WordPress website yourself. It’s not rocket science. It’s kind of like creating your own business cards when you first get started, though. You know, the ones that you print yourself on those perforated sheets? It doesn’t take long before you realize how unprofessional they look.
Don’t get caught with website envy, or worse yet, website shame! Have your site designed and built by someone who knows what they are doing. Chances are your website can do more for your business than you ever imagined — but only if it’s built that way. Free and even many commercial themes simply can’t be altered to work exactly the way you want them to.

Once it’s built you will be able to maintain the content yourself (or your assistant can do it for you).
