It doesn’t matter what publishing route you choose: traditional, indie, or hybrid. As a writer, you have to market yourself. You need an online platform, one that you control.

Your website is the foundation of that online platform, the hub of your marketing. Sure, you’ll connect it to your other profiles and pages — Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, GoodReads, Amazon, and all the rest — but your website is your home online. It’s the place where, no matter what changes those other platforms impose, YOU have complete control over, and ownership of, everything you put online.

So make it work for you! Just don’t let the technical aspects get in the way of what you do best: write.

That’s where I come in. Whether you need a website built (a brand new one, or one to replace an existing site), or you have one that isn’t working correctly or that you can’t change the way you want, or you want something added that you can’t quite figure out how to do, I can help.

I take care of the behind-the-scenes techie-geeky stuff to keep your site up to date and secure and working, so you don’t have to.

I build WordPress websites by creating custom themes and adding plugins to make the site do all the things you want it to.

If you already work with an artist or designer, I’ll create your site to incorporate and complement the artwork they create for you. If you don’t already have someone, I can refer you to designers — or to design tools if you want to do it yourself..

We’ll work together to figure out what your site needs to do, how you want the content structured, and how you want it to look.

Then I’ll build it, test it, enter in your initial content (or transfer content in from your existing site), and launch the new site on your chosen host.

I will also provide detailed instructions on how to work with your new site to enter, edit, and schedule content.

Oh, and it’ll look good on mobile devices, too.
